Butler placed sixth in the Don Benbow Invitational that the Bulldogs hosted Monday and Tuesday (March 7-8) at the Jacksonville Beach Golf Course in Florida. Joey Arcuri tied for eighth with rounds of 72 and 73.
Gehrig Hollatz tied for the third best Tuesday round, carding a 71. His two-round score of 151 tied for 20th. Brigham Stewart and Ricky Kuiper tied for 28th with totals of 156. Zack Carrabine (157) rounded out Butler's scoring five.
Playing as an individual, Butler's Max Gagnier also shot 156 to tie for 28th.
Butler shot eight shots better on Tuesday than Monday, finishing with a tota of 606. Florida Atlantic won the event (577). They were followed by Evansville, Laval University, IUPUI, Savannah State, the host Bulldogs, Northern Kentucky, and Hampton.
Laval's Baptiste Mory won the event with rounds of 72 and 68 for a two-day total of 140.
Butler continues action in Jacksonville with the Bulldog Florida Invitational beginning Wednesday (March 8).
