Butler opened the Spring Break trip in Florida with a pair of wins, including a no-hitter by Kristin Gutierrez against Northern Kentucky in the second game of the day. With the wins, Butler is now 10-9 on the season.

Gutierrez tossed the no-hitter against Northern Kentucky, teaming with battery mate Riley Carter to keep NKU frustrated. The senior struck out five while walking three. She improves to 4-4 on the season.

Maggie MacBeth sparked the Butler offense against NKU with two hits and three stolen bases. Sarah Dixon added two hits.

Butler opened play Wednesday with a 10-2 decision over Penn in six innings. The Bulldogs broke open a 3-2 game with five runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Brandyce Sallee had three hits for the Bulldogs, scoring three runs. MacBeth and Dixon each scored two runs.

Mikeila Boroff came on in relief of starter Kacey Starwalt and allowed only one hit and one walk in four scoreless innings to improve her record to 3-1 on the season.

The Bulldogs continue play in Florida with six games this weekend beginning Friday with contests against both Western Michigan and Maine.
