Box Score
INDIANAPOLIS – Butler took a 58-52 loss to Georgetown on Sunday afternoon at Hinkle Fieldhouse. A 7-0 Hoya scoring run after the final media timeout of the game separated the two teams in crunch time. With the loss, Butler moves to 5-15 overall.

Tori Schickel and Sydney Buck highlighted the effort from Butler as the dynamic duo combined to score 40 of Butler's 52 points. Schickel made plays in the paint to post 22 points and 15 rebounds while Buck attacked from the perimeter with six made 3-point field goals to add 18 points off the bench.

BU recoded 16 assists on 21 made field goals, but they were unable to slow down Georgetown guard Dionna White. White hit a big 3-pointer to reclaim the Georgetown lead at 49-47, a basket that sparked the 7-0 scoring run. She finished the game 11-for-18 from the field to net a game-high 29 points. Helping White with the scoring load was forward Faith Woodard who ended the game with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Butler led 12-10 after the first quarter, but the Hoyas would score the final four points of the opening frame and continue on with a 10-0 start to the second quarter. They took a 28-21 lead into halftime by doubling up BU in the second 18-9.

Three different players hit a 3-point field goal for Georgetown during the early scoring run in the second. White and Woodard were the only two Hoyas to make more than one field goal for a large majority of the contest. Dorothy Adomako hit one of the biggest shots of the game with less than a minute to play. Adomako shot 2-for-14 from the field, but pushed Georgetown's lead to five points with just 41 seconds left with her jumper.

Georgetown shot 46 percent from the field in the fourth to win the quarter 20-13. High percentage shooting and tough defense paved the way to victory. The Hoyas scored 27 points off 24 Butler turnovers. Georgetown also won second chance points 13-2 and fast break points 10-2.

Butler will return to action next weekend with games at St. John's and Seton Hall. The action will stream live on BEDN.
