Scouting Ball State
The Cardinals are 2-2 at the start of the season with wins over Purdue Fort Wayne (83-52) and Xavier (70-49). Four of the five Ball State starters average nine points or more. Anna Clephane leads the team in the scoring column (11.8), and Oshlynn Brown is a double-double threat inside (11 ppg, 9 rpg). Sydney Freeman and Thelma Dis Agustsdottir are sharpshooters on the outside. Freeman is hitting 45 percent from long range (9-20) and Dis Agustsdottir is second on the team with eight made 3-pointers.
Last Year vs. Ball State
Butler never trailed vs. Ball State a year ago inside Hinkle Fieldhouse. They jumped out to a 13-5 lead after the first quarter and ran away with a 64-47 victory.
Kristen Spolyar scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win. The Bulldogs shared the ball, registering 18 assists on 22 made field goals.
Godlevske vs. the MAC
Butler went 4-0 vs. the Mid-American Conference a year ago with wins over Ball State, Akron, Eastern Michigan and Kent State. Coach G is 5-3 all-time vs. the MAC.
Parker Pushes BU Past IUPUI
Genesis Parker scored eight of her team-high 23 points in the fourth quarter vs. IUPUI allowing BU to comeback and earn the win. She broke a 58-58 tie with her sixth made 3-pointer of the game with just 3:32 left in the fourth. It was Butler's last made field goal of the contest.
Behind The Arc
Butler made a season-high 10 3-pointers in the win over IUPUI. They have made 32 triples over the first four games of the 2019-20 campaign. The 'Dawgs have hit at least seven in every game this season. They are shooting 41.6 percent from distance.

Butler's starting five unit of Parker, Caceres, Strong, Brey and Spolyar were +7 against IUPUI. That group shared the court for 7:06. BU used 16 different lineups in the victory.
Flip the Script
Butler is undefeated after playing their first four games of the 2019-20 regular season at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Their first true road trip is the Ball State game on Saturday. That contest marks the first of three games outside of Hinkle Fieldhouse as Butler looks ahead to the 2019 Daytona Tournament over Thanksgiving.
Spolyar Named BIG EAST Player of the Week
Kristen Spolyar hit a hot streak in a 2-0 week for Butler, averaging a BIG EAST-best 28.0 points, while posting the third-highest rebounding clip of the week at 9.5 boards per contest. She shot .571 from the field and .455 from deep, adding 2.5 steals per game. Against Detroit Mercy on Wednesday, Spolyar scored a career-high 37 points while grabbing 13 rebounds, before going for 19 points and six boards in Sunday's win over Eastern Kentucky.

The Bulldogs will spend Thanksgiving in Florida this year by participating in the 2019 Daytona Tournament. BU will play Georgia (3-1) on Friday, Nov. 29 at 11 AM. Game two will put Butler up against Ohio (3-1) on Saturday at 11.
