2020 Butler Baseball Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS – Opening day for the 2020 Butler baseball team will be on Friday, Feb. 14 this year when the team travels to Lexington, South Carolina for a series against North Carolina A&T State and George Mason. Butler will also make stops in Wilmington, N.C., Orlando, Fla., and Port Charlotte, Fla. in the opening stages of the 2020 campaign.

February features ten games with the first four lined up vs. North Carolina A&T State and George Mason. The Bulldogs will then face three different opponents in Wilmington, N.C. The Seahawks will host the action with BU taking on Marshall, UNC-Wilmington, and Bowling Green from Feb. 21 to Feb. 23.

Butler will head down to Bloomington, Ind. on Feb. 26 to face the Hoosiers, who went to the 2019 Louisville Regional last season. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. BU will face another in-state rival that weekend when they travel to Evansville for a three-game series vs. the Purple Aces.

The 2019 home opener will feature Butler hosting St. Francis (IN) on March 3. Following the home opener, Butler travels to Orlando, Fla. to take on Central Florida from March 6-8.

The 'Dawgs will also play in Port Charlotte, Fla. with games against Baldwin-Wallace and St. Joseph's. They return home that weekend to host Western Michigan at Bulldog Park (March 14-15) before getting back on the road.

Midweek games in mid-March includes a road trip to the state of Kentucky where BU will take on Morehead State (Mar. 17) followed by a game against Northern Kentucky (Mar. 18).

After playing the Norse, Butler has four-straight home games with a weekend series against Air Force from March 20-22 followed by a midweek game against our neighbor, Marian on March 25. The Bulldogs take a quick trip for a weekend series to face Illinois State from March 27-29.
Butler's final test before the start of BIG EAST play will come on March 31 when the team plays at home vs. Dayton at 4 p.m. The first BIG EAST series at Bulldog Park will follow with Butler hosting Georgetown (April 3-5).
BU will stay at home for one more game against Indiana-Kokomo before hitting the road again for a long road trip. The seven-game road stint starts with a series at St. John's followed by a mid-week game against in-state rival, Purdue on April 14. The 'Dawgs complete their road trip with another trip out east to take on Villanova (April 17-19).

The 'Dawgs will play five-straight home games after the road trip. BU hosts Northern Kentucky on April 21 and the next day will play Purdue at Victory Field. April 24-26 will be a BIG EAST home series against Xavier. BU will take a quick trip to Toledo on April 28 and return to Bulldog Park for another home conference series against Seton Hall.

Butler and Ball State will take the diamond on May 6. The final conference series will be played at Creighton from May 8-10.

The final week of the regular season will feature three home games. BU will host Eastern Michigan on May 12. The final weekend will be split with BU playing at Eastern Illinois on May 14. The next two games will be played at Bulldog Park.

The 2020 BIG EAST Tournament will be held in Cincinnati again this year from May 21-24. Seniors
