INDIANAPOLIS – The Eastern Illinois Panthers limited Butler to just four hits, enabling them to post a 2-0 victory at Bulldog Park on Tuesday afternoon. Each Panther run scored off a sac fly.
Foster Anshutz only recorded two strikeouts for the Panthers, but his effort kept BU off the base paths. He was credited with the win (3-0) while Josh Cooper came in for his first save of the year.
Butler also went with two arms in the contest.
Joe Graziano took the loss after throwing five full innings.
Kevin Napoleon came in for the final four innings.
Butler's hit leader was lead-off man
Harrison Freed. The junior went 2-for-4 from the plate and made five put-outs in right field.
Zach Jarosz and
Andy Bennett would round out the BU hit total.
Butler will try to get back on track tomorrow when they host Eastern Michigan. The game can be seen on Facebook Live at 4 PM.
