The Bulldogs took a 20-1 loss to No. 4 Notre Dame Wednesday night. With the loss, Butler falls to 3-11. Notre Dame moves to 12-2.
Notre Dame held the Bulldogs scoreless in the first half, and scored 13 goals of their own to take the advantage into the break. The Irish would go on to score seven more in the second half.
Haley Hallenbeck had the Bulldogs' goal, scored in the second half, with 21 minutes to play.
Madeline Hooks had the assist.
Mollie Carr led Notre Dame with four goals, while Andie Aldave and Maddie Howe each added three. Samantha Giacolon received the win in goal and moves to 12-2 on the year.
Butler is back in action on Saturday, April 13, hosting No. 16 Denver at Varsity Field. First draw is set for Noon.
