INDIANAPOLIS – Head Coach
Kurt Godlevske is pleased to announce the addition of
N'Dea Flye to the Butler women's basketball program. Flye, a 5-8 combo guard, played one season at New Mexico and most recently participated at Northwest Tech. She will enter her junior season at BU, giving her two years of eligibility as a Bulldog.
"N'Dea brings another dimension to our program," Godlevske stated. "She's a hard worker both on the court and in the classroom which will allow her to represent us well in the Indianapolis community. As a staff, we love N'Dea's quickness, allowing her to attack the paint. She also has the ability to stretch the defense with her outside shooting. Her overall athleticism will allow us to extend our defense, creating a more up-tempo style. I'm excited she chose to be a Butler Bulldog and want to welcome her to our Butler Family."
Flye averaged 24.1 points per game at Northwest Tech last season. She transferred there after spending her freshman year at New Mexico. Flye was an impact player as a rookie at New Mexico. She started in 32 of 35 games, averaging 6.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. She was also recognized as one of the top defensive players on the roster.
Flye is originally from Wichita Falls, Texas, but played high school hoops at Oregon City High in Oregon City, Oregon. Flye averaged 11.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals during her senior season. She helped her team win the 2014 Oregon State Championship and was runner-up in 2017. ESPNW ranked Flye as the 152nd-best player coming out of high school. She ended her career as the Mount Hood Conference Player of the Year and a First Team All-League honoree.
