INDIANAPOLIS – Butler will travel to #19 Michigan to face the Wolverines at the Crisler Center on Wednesday afternoon. Bulldog fans can watch the action live on Big Ten Network+. This is the first meeting between the two programs since 1993.

All-Time Series vs. Michigan
Butler is 2-0 all-time when facing the Wolverines. They won 81-50 at Michigan during the 1992-93 season and followed that effort with a 77-57 home win the following year.
Butler vs. the Big Ten
Butler's last win over a Big Ten opponent came in 2018 with a 66-53 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in the first game of the West Palm Invite. Since Godlevske's arrival in 2015-16, Butler is 2-4 vs. Big Ten foes.
Indiana Roots
Michigan has four student-athletes on their roster from the state of Indiana, the Bulldogs only have two (Ross/Stoddard).
BIG EAST Ties
Prior to joining Michigan, Kim Barnes Arico spent 10 seasons at St. John's guiding the Red Storm to four NCAA Tournament appearances. Barnes Arico compiled a 176-133 overall record and five 20-win campaigns at St. John's. She was twice named Big East Coach of the Year (2006, 2012).

Michigan's starting five unit has appeared in 382 games over the course of their careers while the Butler starting five accounts for just 77 games played at the D1 level.
Okako Leads BU Offensively
Okako Adika ranks sixth in the BIG EAST with a 16.5 scoring average. The BU forward exploded for 29 points in the season opener vs. Providence, but fouled out in the third quarter vs. Creighton in just 23 minutes of action. 29 points is the highest total of any BIG EAST player this season.
At The Line
Okako Adika and
Tenley Dowell are two of just three BIG EAST players to compete in at least two games and remain perfect from the free throw line. Adika is 6-for-6 from the charity stripe and Dowell is 4-for-4.
Naira Caceres Opts Out

Naira Caceres has opted out of the remainder of the 2020-21 season due to COVID-19 concerns. After two games, Caceres had led BU in minutes played (31.5), 3-point field goal percentage (.600), assists (2.0), and steals (3.0). She is the second Butler player to opt out this season joining junior, guard
Jamilyn Robinson.
Unavailable Players
Butler was short-handed last weekend with just nine active players. The Bulldogs do not expect
Micah Scheetz,
Genesis Parker, or
Oumou Toure to play against Michigan.
