The Bulldogs had a strong final round Tuesday at the Rocket Classic, jumping up to third in the final team standings.

Butler entered the final 18 holes in fifth before making a charge. Butler's Tuesday total of 302 (+14) was the second-best round of the day, trailing only champion Central Michigan by a single stroke (301).

CMU won the event at 900 (+36). Host Toledo was second with a team score of 925 (+61), which was one shot better than Butler's 54-hole total of 926 (+62). Butler's 302 Tuesday was the team's best of the three rounds, following Monday posts of 311 and 313.  

Katelyn Le shot a three-over 75 Tuesday to pull into a tie for third. She shot rounds of 75, 76 and 75 on the 6,118-yard Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio. Le entered the final round in seventh.

Central Michigan's Casilda Allendesalazar won the event at six-over 222.

Ally Ross was Butler's second-best performer, finishing 11^th at 231 (+15). She shot 75 Tuesday after rounds of 79 and 77 on Monday.

Claire Edwards shot a one-over 73 after two 80s to open the event. Her total of 233 (+17) tied for 13^th. She entered the day tied for 31^st. Alaina Bowie was 55^th at 251 (+35). Bowie shot 79 Tuesday.  

Freshman Katie Steinman's round on Tuesday was DQ'd after she only had one signature on her card. She shot 77 and 80 in the first two rounds.  

Madalin Small, playing as an individual, tied for 43rd at 246 (+31).

The Bulldogs' fall portion of the 2021-22 schedule concludes Oct. 18-19 when Butler tees it up as part of the field at the Dayton Fall Invitational.
