Ball State came away with a 70-56 win over Butler in an in-state battle Tuesday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Anna Clephane led the Cardinals with 21 points.
Kendall Wingler exploded for 17 points for the Bulldogs in just her third game in a Butler uniform. The transfer from Eastern Kentucky made five three-pointers and shot 6-of-13 overall from the floor. She combined for just five points in the team's first two games.
Alex Richard had 12 points for the Bulldogs.
Trinity White and
Tenley Dowell led the team with eight rebounds apiece.
The Bulldogs (0-3) were undone by 26 turnovers, which Ball State turned into 20 points.
Both teams shot 39 percent from the field.
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday afternoon, hosting Austin Peay at noon.
