IUPUI split their first two games of the 2021 season. They traveled to #11 Michigan in the season opener and took the Wolverines into overtime, before fading 67-62 in the extra period. That weekend the Jags went to Bowling Green to claim a 71-60 victory to even out their overall record. The solid start to the season allowed IUPUI to climb up to No. 10 in the Mid-Major Top 25. That momentum however was lost when the Jags were forced to cancel two Horizon League games due to COVID-19 implications. There were positive cases within the program and therefore games at Cleveland State and Purdue Fort Wayne were forfeited. IUPUI was also not cleared to travel to Southern Illinois on Nov. 24 which resulted in a no contest matchup vs. the Salukis. Head Coach Austin Parkinson has talented roster that is headlined by forward Macee Williams. The three-time Horizon League Player of the Year scored 17 points at Michigan and posted 23 points at Bowling Green. She is averaging 20 points and seven rebounds per contest and is shooting 56 percent from the field.
