INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler women's basketball team defeated the Trine Thunder on Thursday night in exhibition play by the final score of 68-61. BU opened up a 13-point lead at the half and would knock down nine three-pointers to help them find the win column.
 
Genesis Parker and Emilia Sexton led Butler from behind the arc. Each player ended the game in double figures.
 
Butler forced 19 Trine turnovers and would quickly turn those miscues into 22 points. The Bulldogs also came out on top in second chance points, points in the paint and fast break points.
 
Every active player on the roster saw at least three minutes of playing time and nine different 'Dawgs made a field goal in the victory.
 
Butler will host #8 Indiana in the 2021-22 season opener next week. The in-state rivals will meet inside Hinkle Fieldhouse on Wednesday, Nov. 10 with a 7 PM tip. Action can be streamed live on BEDN.
