Kalamazoo, Mich. – Senior Thomas Brennan won both his matches at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles, but Western Michigan pulled out a 6-1 win on Saturday.

Brennan and Alvaro Huete Vadillo got things goings for the Bulldogs with a 6-2 win Saturday morning, but Western Michigan duos won in tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 3 to claim the doubles point.

Later, Brennan would take down Peter Kuszynski in three sets 5-7, 7-6 (3-0), 10-8 in No. 1 singles. Michael Dickson in the third position and Michael Karr in No. 6 singles would force a third set with their opponents before falling in a tiebreaker.

Butler will travel south next weekend to take on Middle Tennessee State on Jan. 21 and Lipscomb on Jan. 22.
