INDIANAPOLIS – Nancy Cabanas won at No. 6 singles, but Miami (Ohio) beat Butler 6-1 in the home opener for the Bulldogs Friday afternoon in the Bubble.

Cabanas beat Miami's Mayu Ushio in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 for Butler's point in the team score. Fellow freshman Katie Beavin took Sara Zalukar to a tiebreaker at No. 5 singles, but fell 6-2, 4-6, 10-4 after winning the second set.
