INDIANAPOLIS -- Butler University student-athletes were great in the classroom during the fall 2021 semester. The department saw its teams combine to post a cumulative GPA of 3.36.
 
The Bulldogs followed up an impressive spring, which saw student-athletes register a 3.395 GPA.
 
The 2021 fall semester featured 93 student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 GPA. 361 Bulldogs made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, which requires a GPA of at least 3.25.
 
The women's soccer team posted the highest team GPA among Butler's athletic programs with an impressive 3.702. They were followed closely by the women's cross country team (3.636) and the women's track and field program (3.606).
 
On the men's side, the men's track and field team earned a 3.482 GPA as a team, followed by the men's cross country team with a 3.462 mark. The men's soccer program rounded out the top three by finishing the semester with a 3.433 GPA.
 
Fifteen of Butler's 20 NCAA athletic programs (which include Butler's cheerleading and dance programs) had team GPAs above 3.2 in the fall.
