Bloomington, Ind. –
Niki Ezeh broke the school high jump record, while Jack Elder finished first in a field of 12 in the 60m dash to highlight the opening day of the Indiana University Relays for the Butler track and field teams.

Ezeh leaped 1.71m (5'7 1/4") to break the 24-year old program record in the high jump previously set by Vanessa Lester in 1997 of 1.70m (5'7"). She now owns indoor school records in four events: 60m hurdles, long jump, high jump and pentathlon.

Elder posted a personal best time of 7.20 in the 60m portion of the heptathlon to beat the other 11 competitors in the event.

The Bulldogs will be back at it Saturday morning beginning at 9 a.m. for the second day of competition at Gladstein Fieldhouse.
