Indianapolis, Ind. --  The Butler swim team is in action Sunday (Jan. 30) for the 13th Annual Butler Invite in Fishers, Ind. at 12 pm. The Bulldogs will compete against St. Louis, Xavier, Hillsdale, Ball State, Youngstown St., Illinois St., Indiana St., and Bellarmine. They will honor their five seniors during the meet and will be the last event before the BIG EAST Championship.
 
Mattea Dumdey: Free, Dist Fr from Pelham, N.H.
During her 2019-20 sophomore season, she was part of the 400 Free Relay team that finished fifth at the double dual (3:46.35) while helping BU finish 10th in the 200 Medley Relay (1:55.86). In the 2020-21 season, Dumdey was a three-time BIG EAST Qualifier and had career-high times that season. She placed 28th in the 500 free, 25th in the 200 Free, and 15th in the 1650 Free at the BIG EAST meet. 
 
Rachel Geller: Sprint, Fr, Bk from Mariette, GA
In her 2019-20 sophomore season, she posted the seventh-best time in school history in the 100 Back (59.31). Geller was named Most Improved Swimmer in 2020-21 as she had an outstanding season in the Spirit Free, Backstroke, and relay events. In the fall, she was named to AD Honor Roll and achieved a 4.0 GPA as a PA student. Geller is a three-time BIG EAST Qualifier and Finalist. She ranks third in the 100 Backstroke for Butler's All-Time with a personal-best (57.11) and ranks sixth in the 200 Backstroke with a (2:06:33). She was named Swimmer of the Meet for Butler at the 2021 BIG EAST Championships.
 
Olivia Klafta: Mid Dist, Fr from Morton Grove, IL
In her freshman season, she placed 17th at the BIG EAST Championship meet in the 1650 Free (18:00.19). She was part of the 800 Free Relay Team that set a new BU school record in the 2019-20 season (7:42.38). During her 2019-20 season, she posted the third-best time in school history in the 1650 Free (17:53.88) and the fourth-best time in school history in the 1000 Free (10:45.49). Klafta is a three-time BIG EAST Qualifier, placed 34th in the 50 Free, 28th in the 200 Free, and 24th in the 100 Free at the BIG EAST. She ranks fourth all-time in 1650 Free and fifth in the 1000 Free while also being named to AD Honor Roll for the 2020-21 season. 
 
Emily Klemptner : Senior Sprint, Fr, Bk from Saline, MI
During her freshman season, she posted a time of (1:09.88) in the 100 Breast at the House of Champions. Klemptner was also part of the 200 Medley Relay Team that posted the second-best time in school history (1:44.82). In her 2019-20 season, she was part of the 200 Medley Relay team that finished seventh at the Indiana Intercollegiate (1:51.37). Klemptner is a three-time BIG EAST Qualifier and placed 32nd in the 50 Free, 23rd in the 100 Back, and 23rd in the 100 free at BIG EAST for the 2020-21 season. She was also named to AD Honor Roll in Fall of 2021. 
 
Claire Mastrandrea : Fly, Bk from Buffalo, N.Y.
During her time at Butler, she helped the Bulldogs finish 12th in the 200 Medley Relay at the BU double dual (1:57.67) in the 2019-20 season. During her Junior year 2020-21 season, she was named to AD Honor Roll while being a Three-time BIG EAST Qualifier. Mastrandrea placed 18th in the 100 Fly, 20th in the 100 Back, and 22nd in the 200 Fly at the BIG EAST.  
 
The Bulldogs will head to the BIG EAST Championship meet in Long Island, NY. (Feb. 23).
