Final Results
Bloomington, Ind. – Rebecca Coan won the women's pentathlon, and the men's 4x400 relay team established another school record in the event on the final day of the Indiana University Relays Saturday at Gladstein Fieldhouse.
Competing unattached, Coan won the long jump portion of the pentathlon (5.58m) and finished second in both the high jump (1.70m) and shot put (12.22m) events to pace a field of 10 with 3,915 points.
Karmen Koch posted a score of 3,597 in the pentathlon, using a second-place finish in the 800m (2:23.75) and a third-place in the shot put (11.30m) to finish fifth overall.
The quartet of
Isaac Kane,
Jacob Uhl,
Tom Pitkin and
Zac Stanley broke their own program record in the 4x400 relay, posting a time of 3:12.74 to finish second.
Jacob Uhl in the 400m dash (48.55) and
Simon Bedard in the 3000m (7:54.03) both finished third in their respective events. Bedard placed well in a large field of 45 runners, and the time currently ranks 14th in the NCAA while being less than three seconds off Erik Peterson's Butler record of 7:51.21.
Matthew Wigelsworth (1:51.84) and
Liam Dennis (1:51.87) had the eighth and ninth best times in school history in the 800m, respectively.
Chandler McGaha won his section in the 800m in a time of 1:52.45.
Kami Hankins in the 3000m (9:29.49) and
Corinna Pena in the mile (4:50.65) posted the No. 6 and No. 8 fastest times in program history in their events, respectively.
The next scheduled meet for the Bulldogs is the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind., on Feb. 4 and 5.
