Boesing Beats Nationally Ranked Opponent, but Cincinnati Wins 5-2

INDIANAPOLIS –
Natalie Boesing beat a nationally ranked opponent, but Cincinnati won 5-2 Saturday afternoon.

Boesing defeated Cincinnati's Elizabeth Pendergast 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Pendergast is ranked the No. 121 singles player in the ITA Division I national rankings.

Delaney Schurhamer also picked up a point for the Bulldogs, taking her match at No. 2 singles in straight sets over Ioana Guna, 6-3, 6-4.

Sara Linn and Norah Balthazor won one set each in their matches at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, but fell to their Bearcat opponents in three sets.

Butler will be back in action at Ball State on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
