WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. - Six Bulldogs won at least one event, highlighted by
Niki Ezeh breaking her own school record in the 60m hurdles, at the Gene Edmonds Memorial Invitational Saturday at Lambert Fieldhouse in West Lafayette, Ind. Butler competed against athletes from Purdue, IUPUI, Northern Colorado and Northwestern.
Ezeh began the day by finishing first in the women's long jump with a 5.57m mark, setting a new indoor personal best for her. She followed that up by again breaking her own record in the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.47 after setting a program best 8.53 mark just over a month ago at the Blue & Gold Invitational.
Jill Vogler was another Bulldog who won two events, finishing first in both the 200m (26.56) and 400m (59.01) dashes.
On the men's side, in the high jump
Drew Herman (1.94m) and
Paul Signorelli in the pole vault (5.00m) paced the field in their respective events.
On the track,
Isaac Kane (51.08 in the 400m) and
Liam Dennis (1:55.79 in 800m) came across the line first in their races.
The Bulldogs will next compete on Jan. 14 and 15 at the Jim Green Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
