The Bulldogs finished off the fall portion of the 2022-23 season by sending a total of five individuals to two events Monday and Tuesday.
Freshman
Derek Tabor led the Butler effort, finishing in a tie for 18
th at the Xavier Invitational just outside Cincinnati.
THE BULLDOGS: Tabor's three rounds included a total of 13 birdies on the par-72, 7,180-yard TPC River's Bend course. He opened the tournament with a one-under 71 in Monday's first round.

THE FIELD: While Butler only sent four individuals to compete, opposing teams included a trio of BIG EAST rivals in host
Xavier, Villanova, and DePaul.
Butler's four individuals combined for a score of 899 over the 54 holes. While not competing as a team and without the option to potentially take the score of a fifth player during any of the three rounds, those four individuals scored better than both Villanova (910) and Xavier (911).
Among the 12 teams entered, Wright State won the event (851; -13) by 23 shots over second-place Austin Peay.

Kenny Leseur took part in the Wabash Invitational, hosted at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis on Monday and Tuesday. Leseur tied for 30
th at 18-over 234 after rounds of 74, 78 and 82. Leseur carded eagles as part of his card in both the first and third rounds. It marked Leseur's first competition of the season as a Bulldog.
UP NEXT: The Bulldogs are now off from competition until the spring portion of the 2022-23 schedule begins Feb. 7-8 with the BIG EAST Match Play event in West Palm Beach, Fla.
