Four Bulldogs made the trip to Dallas to take part in the Red & Blue Challenge, hosted by SMU. The round-robin, flighted event took place Friday through Sunday.

The Bulldogs were joined in the field by a number of Texas-based teams. Butler freshman Jordan Schildcrout is from Dallas and her family hosted the group.

Freshman Chase Metcalf went 3-0 in singles play, winning each of her matches in straight sets. The other three Bulldogs each posted a 1-2 record in singles. Natalie Boesing won one match in straight sets and then both of her losses came in third-set match tiebreakers.

Boesing and Metcalf combined for the Bulldogs' only win in doubles action.

The Bulldogs continue fall play with the ITA Ohio Valley Regional. The event, hosted in Knoxville by the University of Tennessee, begins Wednesday.
