@ButlerXCTF Closes Regular Season Friday at Illini Open

The Bulldogs finished off the regular season portion of the schedule by sending a handful of student-athletes to the Illini Open. The event, hosted by the University of Illinois, took place Friday afternoon at the University of Illinois Arboretum in Urbana, Ill.

The women ran a 5k course, while the men negotiated an 8k trek.

Butler's performances included strong showings by several young Bulldogs running unattached.

UP NEXT: The 2022 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships are set for Saturday, Oct. 29 at Highland Park in Attleboro, Mass. A year ago in Indianapolis, the Butler men captured the BIG EAST title, while the women placed second.
