Final Results
BOSTON – Simon Bedard nearly broke the 3000m program record in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday. The event was hosted by Boston University.
Bedard's time of 7:51.52 came close to Erik Peterson's 7:51.21 mark from 2017, while placing him 12
th overall.
Barry Keane ran a time of 7:59.11 to finish ninth in his section and 28
th overall in the event.
Their respective times marked new personal-bests for both athletes.
Notre Dame's Yared Nuguse won against an elite field in a time of 7:38.13, a time which broke Alistair Cragg's NCAA indoor record.
The next scheduled meet for the Butler track and field teams is the Alex Wilson Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 19 at Notre Dame.
