Box Score The Butler women's lacrosse team (1-0) was victorious on the road at Kent St. (0-1) on Saturday in the first game of the regular season. The Dawgs picked up a 11-10 win starting the season in the win column.

"The team worked hard and fought through a tough game. Really happy for Kaley today she had a great performance in the midfield for us. Monroe was also great today and picked up her first collegiate win. A lot of good came from today and we are happy with the result," said Head Coach Cecil Pilson.

How it Happened:

The Golden Flashes got on the board early in the first quarter when Kenzie Sklar scored on a free position. She then added her second minutes later. However, the Dawgs rallied quickly and evened the score at two apiece. Kayla Kielbasa scored the first with the assist from Kaley Attaway, and then 37 seconds later, Campbell Connors added another for the Dawgs on an unassisted effort.

The Dawgs took control in the second, outscoring the Golden Flashes 4-2. Kaley Attaway scored two in the second for the Dawgs. Leah Rubino and Campbell Connors both added a tally in the second as well to help bolster the lead heading into the half.

The Golden Flashes got on the board first in the second half when Kenzie Sklar scored her fourth goal of the game a minute and a half into the third quarter. She then added her fifth of the game minutes later to even up the score.

Gabryelle Bodine had an answer for the Dawgs, followed by another tally from Kayla Kielbasa. Attaway added her third of the day on a free position with just under two minutes left in the third quarter.
Holly Hall started off the scoring in the fourth quarter before the Golden Flashes scored the next two.

Today, Kaley Attaway was unstoppable for the Dawgs, sealing the deal with just over a minute to go. Attaway added her fourth goal of the day, which is a career-high, and also had an assist on the day.
