INDIANAPOLIS –
The top of the lineup led the Butler women's tennis team to a 4-1 win over Eastern Michigan on Friday at the Butler Bubble.

In the first doubles spot, the duo of Natalie Boesing and Delaney Schurhamer won 6-3, while Eastern Michigan won at No. 3 doubles, setting up the No. 2 spot to determine the doubles point. Norah Balthazor and Veronika Bruetting came through with a 6-3 decision to clinch the opening point for the Bulldogs.

Schurhamer made quick work of her opponent at No. 2 singles, defeating Prerna Vichare 6-2, 6-1. Boesing also won in straight sets with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Eastern Michigan's Luisa Pelayo at No. 1. Senior Sara Linn posted a 6-4, 6-2 win over Isabelle Popma in the third spot to clinch the match for Butler with a fourth point.

The Bulldogs (2-8) are scheduled to travel to West Lafayette, Ind., on Sunday morning for a 10 a.m. match at Purdue.
