Ezeh's 60m Hurdles Win and Kane's 200m Record Highlight Final Day of BIG EAST Indoor Championship

Niki Ezeh's win in the 60m hurdles and Isaac Kane's new school record in the 200m dash highlighted the final day for the Butler track and field teams at the BIG EAST Indoor Championship on Saturday.

Ezeh stood atop the podium with a time of 8.46 seconds in the 60m hurdles, a day after finishing second in the women's pentathlon.

Kane came in second in the men's 200m dash with a Butler program record 21.35 mark. The time broke Damon Moore's school best of 21.49 set in 1994.

Barry Keane finished third in the 3000m race (7:56.46) with a time that was better than the old BIG EAST Indoor Championships record of 7:57.50.

Matthew Wigelsworth's 1:49.68 race in the 800m placed him fifth in the field and just two one-hundredths of a second behind the school record. In men's field events, Drew Herman tied for second in the high jump with a 1.95m leap.

The Bulldog men's 4x800 relay unit ran a 7:36.74 race, breaking the old school record of 7:39.17 and coming in sixth place. The 4x400 quartet finished third in the field with a 3:14.01 time.

The Butler men's team finished in fourth place overall after accumulating 95 points, which was just four behind DePaul who came in second. The Bulldog women's team posted 61 points to come in sixth place.

Next up for the Butler track and field teams will be the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 11 and 12 in Birmingham, Ala.
