Final Results
The Bulldogs finished in the No. 13 position at this weekend's 19
th Annual Rio Verde Invitational.
For the second consecutive day, Butler carded a team score of 312. The Bulldogs finished the 54-hole event with a total of 938 (+74).
The event was played in Arizona at the Rio Verde Country Club. Â
Ally Ross both started and concluded Sunday's round tied for 19
th individually. She shot a 76 Sunday after back-to-back rounds of 75 to start the event. Ross finished with a score of 226 (+10).
Alaina Bowie also shot 76 on Sunday, carding three birdies on the 6,001-yard White Wing Course. At 236 (+20), she finished in a tie for 53
rd. Her 76 Sunday was her best round of the event.
Claire Edwards and
Madalin Small both finished in a tie for 65
th at 238 (+22). Edwards turned in a 79 Sunday, her second consecutive round with that score. Small shot 81 Sunday.
Katie Steinman finished at 250 (+34) and in a tie for 86th.
Kennesaw State went wire-to-wire, leading after each of the three rounds and ultimately claiming the team title. The Owls shot 283 Sunday, which was their best round of the tournament. KSU finished at 865 (+1). Xavier finished second, 12 shots back.
Kennesaw State's Caitlyn Campbell (211; -5) took individual honors; she was five shots better than Kara Carter of Xavier.
