West Lafayette, Ind. – Purdue beat the Butler women's tennis team 5-0 on Sunday.

The Bulldogs had strong performances at No. 2 and No. 5 singles before the match was clinched by Purdue. In the second spot, Delaney Schurhamer won the first set 6-3 and was leading 5-4 in the second before the match went unfinished. Katie Beavin also won a set at No. 5, leading her opponent 6-4, 2-1 when the team score was decided.

Butler will return to action with a match against Cleveland State on Friday at 3 p.m.
