@ButlerWLacrosse Travels to Louisville for Midweek Matchup

INDIANAPOLIS - The Butler women's lacrosse team will travel to Louisville this Tuesday, March 1. First draw between the Bulldogs and the Cardinals is set for 3 p.m.
 
Bulldog Bits:
 
- The Bulldogs return 27 players from last season, including leading scorer, Campbell Connors
- 11 new Bulldogs joined the team this season and are a part of one of Butler's strongest recruiting classes in program history
- Eight of twelve starters from a year ago are back this season and poised to bring lots of experience to the table
- Holly Hall had two goals and two ground balls at Central Michigan
- Campbell Connors had a hat trick against CMU
- Lindsey Schreiber had two goals and two assists against CMU
- Leah Rubino tallied five ground balls and four caused turnovers
- Greer Bireley had three assists against CMU
- Morgan Cox had two goals and an assist at CMU
 
Last Time Out
The Bulldogs battled the Central Michigan Chippewa's on Sunday in Mount Pleasant. Butler's comeback attempt was halted in the fourth quarter after spending a good portion of the fourth a woman-down. Holly Hall put two in early in the fourth, and Lindsey Schreiber added another to bring Butler within one.
 
Courtney Burke took over for CMU and scored three of her four goals in the fourth quarter. The Bulldog's offense experienced a slow start but turned it on in the second half. Seven of the Bulldog's eleven goals came in the second half.
 
Campbell Connors had three goals, Lindsey Schreiber had two goals and two assists as well for the Dawgs. Six different Bulldogs found the back of the net on Sunday, and three players accounted for the team's six assists.
 
Louisville Cardinals
Louisville is coming off of a three-goal victory over Virginia Tech. The Cardinals had three players register a hat trick. Caroline Blalock, Nicole Perroni, and Hannah Morris accounted for nine of the Cardinal's fourteen goals.
 
Perroni has 16 goals on the season and leads the Cardinals with 18 points. She has registered multi-goal games in each contest this season, with her best performance coming in the season opener against Colorado. Perroni had five goals, two ground balls, and six draw controls.
 
Up Next
The Bulldogs will host their home opener on Sunday, March 6. Detroit Mercy will travel to Indianapolis for a 2 p.m. first draw.
