Notre Dame, Ind. – The Butler track and field teams return to the South Bend area for the second time this season for the Meyo Invitational on Feb. 4 and 5. The Bulldogs previously competed at the Blue and Gold Invitational on Dec. 3, 2021 and are scheduled to return for a third and final time this season for the Alex Wilson Invitational on Feb. 19.

Niki Ezeh will look to better a couple of her indoor program records on Friday, as she will participate in the long jump and high jump events. She is currently tied with Nicole Hudec in the long jump (5.57m) while holding the Butler high jump mark alone (1.71m) after breaking Vanessa Lester's 25-year old record last weekend.

In the flagship event of the meet, Simon Bedard is scheduled to run in the Meyo Mile in a field of 11 on Saturday afternoon.

Three women each will compete for Butler in the 60m hurdles (McKenzie Greene, Nina Hilt and Karmen Koch) and 3000m (Laure Bertrand, Maddie McLain and Morgan Werner).

For the Bulldog men, Trey Harris, Chandler McGaha and Matthew Wigelsworth are on the heat sheets for both the 600m and 800m races this weekend. Butler also has at least three competitors in the 200m dash (Michael Beros, Isaac Kane and Jacob Uhl) and 5000m run (Nick Doud, Max Lauerman, James Sweeney and Andrew Taylor).
