Final Results

INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler men's tennis team picked up its third win of the season with a 5-2 victory over Illinois State on Sunday at the Butler Bubble.

The Bulldogs started off by taking the doubles point with wins by duos Thomas Brennan and Alvaro Huete Vadillo (7-5) in the first position and Patrick Joss and Zach Trimpe (6-2) at No. 3 doubles.

Brennan would also pick up a point for Butler with a straight sets (6-1, 6-1) win over Illinois State's Pol Botifoll Rius at No. 1 singles. Michael Dickson [6-4, 7-6(6)], Borja Miralles (7-5, 6-2) and Michael Karr (6-4, 3-6, 10-6) won matches at Nos. 3, 4 and 6 singles to account for the final scoring.

The Bulldogs will next play at UIndy on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
