Youngstown, Ohio – The Butler men's tennis team picked up its first BIG EAST win of the season in a 4-3 triumph over Georgetown on Saturday at the YSU Tennis Center.
After dropping the doubles point, the Bulldogs won the necessary four singles matches to clinch the team victory.
Alvaro Huete Vadillo won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, while
Borja Miralles posted a 7-6(5), 6-3 decision at No. 5.
Patrick Joss cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win in the sixth spot.
Thomas Brennan clinched the match for Butler by defeating Georgetown's Kieran Foster 6-4, 7-6(8) in the top singles spot.
The Bulldogs will stay in Ohio and play Youngstown State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
