@ButlerWLacrosse Travels to Duquesne on Sunday

On Sunday, the Butler women's lacrosse team will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a matchup against Duquesne. First draw is set for 12 p.m.
 
Bulldog Bits:
 
- The Bulldogs return 27 players from last season, including leading scorer, Campbell Connors
- 11 new Bulldogs joined the team this season and are a part of one of Butler's strongest recruiting classes in program history
- Campbell Connors has 16 goals and two assists on the season
- Leah Rubino has eight goals, three assists, 13 caused turnovers, and 25 draw controls
- Greer Bireley has two goals and 12 assists this season
- 17 different Bulldogs have tallied a goal this season
- Campbell Connors netted four against Kennesaw St.
- Lindsey Schreiber, Gabryelle Bodine, Holly Hall, and Leah Rubino all scored two for the Bulldogs against Kennesaw St
- Ella Squibb, Layla Tattersfeild, and Greer Bireley all added assists last time out
- Rubino and Bodine both tallied an assist as well
 
Last Time Out
On Wednesday, the Bulldogs took down the Kennesaw St. Owls 12-11 in Georgia. Campbell Connors led the way for the Bulldogs scoring four goals en route to a road victory. Leah Rubino, Gabryelle Bodine, Holly Hall, and Lindsey Schreiber each tallied two as well.
 
Aleigh Monroe was stellar between the pipes registering seven saves and picking up her second win of the season. Monroe was also tabbed as a BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selection for her performances last week on the road. 
 
Duquesne Dukes
The Dukes are coming off of an 18-8 loss to Ohio State, which saw the Buckeyes pull away in the fourth to secure the win. The Dukes are led on offense by Sam King, Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw, and Tina St. Clair. The trio has combined for more than half the Dukes goals on the season. King leads the team with 15 thus far.
 
Eight Dukes have scored goals this season, and 12 have registered a point. Three different goalies have seen time in net this season for Duquesne, with Sophomore Mady Piersielak leading the way with 216 minutes logged. Piersielak has registered 35 saves and has a 2-1 record, with her lone loss of the season coming to the Buckeyes.

The Bulldogs will host Cincinnati on Friday, March 25. First draw is set for 3 p.m. at Varsity Field.
