Edwards held the 18-hole lead after a morning one-over 73 Monday. She followed that with an 80 in the second round of the day and currently stands at 153 (+9).
Bellarmine's Josephine Bonin has the 36-hole lead at two-over 146. She holds a three-shot lead entering Tuesday's final 18. Â
As a team, Butler is tied for tenth on the leaderboard after Monday's play. The Bulldogs shot 314 in the morning and followed that with a 33-over 321 in the afternoon. Butler stands at 635 (+59) through 36 holes.
Host Cleveland State and Youngstown State are tied in the top spot with matching scores of 611 (+35). They are seven shots clear of third-place Central Michigan. There are 15 teams in the field.
Just behind Edwards is
Ally Ross after rounds of 78 and 76 Monday. Her 10-over 154 is tied for 13
th. Ross's first round on the par-72, 5,953-yard Nevel Meade Golf Course included three birdies.
Alaina Bowie is tied for 49
th at 162 (+18).
Nicole Jordan, playing as an individual, and
Madalin Small are part of a group tied for 67
th at 166 (+22).
Katie Steinman shot 174 (+30) and is tied for 82
nd.
