Butler Vice President/Director of Athletics Barry Collier announced Tuesday, March 22 that Kurt Godlevske is no longer the head coach of the women's basketball program.

"On behalf of our university and athletics department, I want to thank Kurt for his efforts," said Collier. "We wish Kurt and his family nothing but the best moving forward."

A national search for a new women's basketball coach will begin immediately.

The Bulldogs have a record of 4-44 over the past two seasons.

In eight seasons as the head coach at Butler, Godlevske posted an overall record of 91-144, which included a 47-97 mark in BIG EAST regular season contests. Godlevske was selected by his peers as the 2019 BIG EAST Coach of the Year as the Bulldogs made an appearance in the WNIT.

Godlevske joined Butler as an assistant coach in the spring of 2013. After one full season as an assistant, Godlevske was elevated to head coach beginning with the 2014-15 season.
