@ButlerWLacrosse Hosts Cincinnati at Varsity Field Friday

On Friday, the Butler women's lacrosse team will host Cincinnati at Varsity field for their second home game of the season. First draw is set for 3 p.m.
 
Bulldog Bits:
 
- 11 new Bulldogs joined the team this season and are a part of one of Butler's strongest recruiting classes in program history
- Campbell Connors has 21 goals and four assists on the season
- Leah Rubino has eight goals, three assists, 13 caused turnovers, and 25 draw controls
- Greer Bireley has three goals and 14 assists this season
- Aleigh Monroe has played 360 minutes between the pipes this season, registering 48 saves
- Campbell Connors netted five goals and had two assists against Duquesne
- Lindsey Schreiber had a seven-point performance with three goals and four assists; she also added six draw controls and three caused turnovers against Duquesne
- Gabryelle Bodine had three goals and an assist
- Holly Hall had two goals
- Kayla Kielbasa and Layla Tattersfield each tallied one assist
- Kaley Attaway had one goal and one assist and added four draw controls
- Leah Rubino had four groundballs, eight draw controls, and three caused turnovers
 
Last Time Out
On Sunday, the Bulldogs fells 19-16 against Duquesne on the road. Campbell Connors and Lindsey Schreiber led the way for Butler, combining for 14 points in Sunday's game. Connors scored five goals and had two assists to tie her career-high in goals. Schreiber had three goals and four assists en route to her seven-point outing. 
 
Leah Rubino was stellar for the Bulldogs in the midfield, registering four groundballs, eight draw controls, and three caused turnovers. Both Connors and Schreiber were tabbed as BIG EAST Honor Roll selections this past week for their performances. With Connors and Schreiber tabbed for the weekly honor roll, this marks the fifth time a Bulldog has been honored this season.  
 
Cincinnati Bearcats
The Bearcats come into Friday's match with a 4-6 record, with their last outing being a 16-12 loss to Liberty. However, the Bearcats' offense has been lethal with the combination of Kylie Nause and Ava Goeller. Nause and Goeller have combined for 66 of the teams 115 goals with 38 and 28 respectively. 
 
Goeller and Dani Mlkvy dominate the draw circle for the Bearcats. Goeller has won 33 draw controls, and Mlkvy has won 34 for a total of 69 draw control wins between the two. Sophie O'Brien has notched 517 minutes in goal for the Bearcats and is credited with 63 saves in 10 games.
 
Up Next
The Bulldogs will host Youngstown St. on Sunday, March 27. First draw is set for 12 p.m. at Varsity Field.
