Final Results
INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler women's tennis team rallied back for a 4-3 win over Western Kentucky Friday at the Butler Bubble.
After dropping the doubles point and a singles match, the Bulldogs were down 2-0 early.
Natalie Boesing picked up the first team point for Butler with a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles.
Both
Delaney Schurhamer at No. 2 singles and
Norah Balthazor in the third spot of the lineup prevailed in three sets. Schurhamer came back from a set down to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, and Balthazor posted a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 decision.
That set up
Emma Beavin to clinch the match with a straight sets (6-1, 6-1) win over Western Kentucky's Taylor Shaw. This was the third time Beavin has clinched a team win for the Bulldogs this season.
Butler's next match is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday at home against UIC.
