Final Results

INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 win on Senior Day over Villanova on Saturday afternoon at the Butler Bubble.

The Bulldogs won their fifth straight match to improve to 9-7 (2-1 BIG EAST) on the season.

Butler picked up the doubles point with easy decisions at No. 2 (Tom Brennan and Ryan Roegner, 6-1) and No. 3 (Patrick Joss and Zach Trimpe, 6-0).

In singles play, seniors Thomas Brennan and Michael Dickson cruised to straight sets wins at No. 1 (6-1, 6-1) and No. 3 (6-0, 6-0), respectively. Alvaro Huete Vadillo clinched the match for the Bulldogs with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Villanova's Justin Suarez.

Patrick Joss (6-1, 6-2) at No. 5 and Michael Karr (6-3, 6-1) at No. 6 singles also won matches for the second consecutive day.

The Bulldogs will be back in action at 3 p.m. on Friday at Bellarmine.
