The Bulldogs welcomed 12 teams to the Butler Spring Invitational and posted a second-place finish over the two-day event.

Play concluded Tuesday with 18 holes after cold temperatures shortened Monday's play to a single round as opposed to the planned 36.

The Bulldogs shot 289 Tuesday, three shots behind their Monday performance. The team's total of 575 (+15) was six shots behind Valparaiso, who also held the 18-hole lead. Butler was one shot ahead of Morehead State in the team standings.

Seven of Butler's 10 players in the event finished among the Top 25.
Daniel Tanaka, with three birdies as part of his Tuesday 71, finished the event tied for eighth at 142 (+2).
Raymond Sullivan shot 73 Tuesday after an opening-round 70. His 36-hole total of 143 tied for 12
th.

Freshman
Damon Dickey tied for 17
th with a total of 145 (+5). Dickey shot 73 Tuesday on the 6,551-yard Highland course.
Nick Williams, playing as an individual, matched Dickey's scores for both days and finished among the group in 17
th.

Henry Quinn,
Weston Guili and
Michael Tanaka all finished at 146 and in a tie for 22
nd. Tanaka shot 71 Tuesday, matching his brother for the best round of the day for a Butler player.

st) rounded out the Butler line-up, each playing as an individual.

There were a total of 98 players in the field.

Detroit Mercy's James Hill, Valparaiso's Anthony Delisanti and Luke Armbrust of Illinois tied for medalist honors at 139 (-1). Hill was named the winner after a scorecard playoff.

The Bulldogs return to action April 9-10 at Purdue's Boilermaker Invitational in one of the team's final tune-ups prior to the 2022 BIG EAST Championships.
