INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldogs will remain in Jacksonville at the start of the week to play two games against North Florida. BU most recently defeated the Jacksonville Dolphins on Sunday to move their overall record to 5-6.

Scouting North Florida
The Ospreys are 3-10 at the start of the 2022 season. Wins this year have been recorded against Presbyterian, USF, and Boston College. Tough competition can be found all over the North Florida schedule. They kept it close against #15/10 Florida in Gainesville (3-1), and hosted a three-game series against UConn at the end of February. Most recently UNF won one game of a three-game series against Boston College. They recorded 17 runs in their victory over the Eagles on Sunday.
Tony Roca is projected to start Tuesday against the Bulldogs. The left-hander is 0-2 this year with a 4.60 ERA. Roca has 19 strikeouts in 15.2 innings of action. Batters are hitting .259 against him in 2022.
At the plate, BU will be careful around Cade Westbrook and his .333 batting average. The redshirt-senior has 17 hits this year, including five doubles for eight RBI. Dallen Leach is also hitting over .300 with a pair of home runs this year.
On the Mound
Luke Zmolik will make his second start of the season on Tuesday night. His first collegiate start came on March 1 at Northern Kentucky. Zmolik threw 1.2 innings before being replaced on the mound. He threw 31 pitches.
Brandon Haggerty will make this third appearance on the mound this season on Wednesday night. The contest at North Florida will be the first start of the year for the left-handed transfer. His last appearance was a full inning at Northern Kentucky on March 1. He struck out three batters, but allowed four runs off four hits.
Strong in the 7th
The Bulldogs have scored 21 runs this season in the seventh inning. They picked up their fifth win of the season by scoring six of their seven runs in the seventh their last time out at Jacksonville.

The Bulldogs lead the BIG EAST and rank seventh in the nation in stolen bases (32).

Holt Can Hit
Travis Holt ranks second in the BIG EAST with 17 hits. He leads BU with seven multi-hit games this year and is responsible for the longest hitting streak on the team (6).
Send Him Home Steinhart
Aaron Steinhart ranks second in the BIG EAST in Runs Batted In (14). He has also reached base safely in 11-straight games and is the team leader in multi-RBI games (3). Steinhart has six extra base hits this year and leads the club with two home runs.
