@ButlerWLacrosse Travels to South Carolina to Face Presbyterian

On Wednesday, the Butler women's lacrosse team will travel to Clinton, South Carolina for a mid-week matchup against Presbyterian. First draw is set for 3 p.m.
 
Bulldog Bits:
 
- The Bulldogs return 27 players from last season, including leading scorer, Campbell Connors
- 11 new Bulldogs joined the team this season and are a part of one of Butler's strongest recruiting classes in program history
- Campbell Connors has ten goals and two assists on the season
- Leah Rubino has five goals, two assists, ten caused turnovers, and 20 draw controls
- Greer Bireley has two goals and nine assists this season
- Aleigh Monroe has played 195 minutes between the pipes this season, registering 25 saves
- 12 different Bulldogs have tallied a goal this season
- Connors tied a school record with five goals against Detroit Mercy
- Rubino had a hat trick and five draw controls against UDM
- Grace Hensley scored her first collegiate goal against UDM
- Gabryelle Bodine and Lindsey Schreiber had two goals each against UDM
- Bireley had one goal and three assists against UDM
- Kayley Attaway and Kayla Kielbasa each had one goal and one assist against UDM
- Julia Putzi scored in back-to-back games for the first time in her career
 
Last Time Out
On Sunday, the Bulldogs took on Detroit Mercy in their home opener and came out on top, 18-5. Campbell Connors had a record-setting day as she tied the school record with five goals against UDM. Connors also added two assists to cap off her career day. 
 
Leah Rubino has been dominant for the Bulldogs in the midfield this season, registering three goals and five draw controls against UDM. Seven other Bulldogs registered a goal on Sunday, including multi-goal performances from Schreiber and Bodine. Monroe registered nine saves on her way to notching her second win of the 2022 campaign between the pipes for the Dawgs.
 
Presbyterian Blue Hose
Presbyterian is entering their 16th season as a program and is coming off a 16-4 loss to Stetson. The Blue Hose are led by Junior Abby Edmisten, who is lethal in the attacking end. With 14 goals on the season and averaging nearly four goals a game, Edmisten will surely be a focal point for the Butler defense. 
 
The Blue Hose have had 11 different players tally a goal this season. Ana Boothe and Madison Berg are second and third on the team in points, respectively. Boothe with three goals and three assists and Berg with four goals and one assist. Heidi Shafer has logged 214 minutes in goal for the Blue Hose and is credited with 24 saves on the season.

The Bulldogs will hit the road and travel to Clinton, South Carolina, to take on Presbyterian on Wednesday, March 9. First draw is set for 3 p.m.
