Raymond Sullivan came away with a Top 20 finish at the Boilermaker Invitational, which ended Sunday in West Lafayette, Ind.

Sullivan and his Butler teammates competed against one of the strongest fields in the Midwest this spring.

Sullivan tied for 16th, finishing the 54-hole event at 218 (+5). Sullivan shot 75 in windy conditions Sunday after rounds of 72 and 71 Saturday on the on the 7,275-yard Ackerman-Allen Golf Course. Sullivan's Sunday card included an eagle on the 605-yard second hole in addition to a birdie on the 574-yard 16th.

Butler finished 12th in the event as a team, shooting 312 Sunday after posting scores of 312 and 299 Saturday. The team totaled 923 (+71).

Illinois, ranked No. 21 nationally, won the event at 842 (-10). That was eight shots better than host Purdue.

Daniel Tanaka shot 76 Sunday to finish in a tie for 53rd at 230 (+17). Damon Dickey finished at 233 (+20) and in a tie for 62nd. Weston Guili and Henry Quinn tied for 79th at 244 (+31).

Adrien Dumont de Chassart of Illinois won the event at 204 (-9), which included a six-under 65 in Saturday's second round. He held off Purdue's Cole Bradley by a single stroke.

The final tune-up for the Bulldogs prior to the BIG EAST Championships comes Saturday when the team travels to Dayton Ohio for the Wright State Invitational. The 54-hole event runs through Monday.
