@ButlerUMTennis Sweeps Singles to Down Dayton

INDIANAPOLIS –
The Butler men's tennis team swept all four singles matches in a 4-1 win over Dayton Wednesday afternoon in the Butler Bubble.

After dropping the doubles point, the Bulldogs made quick work of the Flyers in singles play with four straight set wins.

Alvaro Huete Vadillo got Butler on the board with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the third spot of the lineup, extending his singles winning streak to 11 matches in a row. Drew Michael quickly followed with a 6-2, 6-3 decision over Matt DeMarco at No. 4 singles.

Michael Dickson posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles before Thomas Brennan clinched the match for the Bulldogs with a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Dayton's Connor Bruce at the top of the lineup.

Butler improved to 11-10 on the season with the win. The Bulldogs will head north to Milwaukee for a match with Marquette on Saturday afternoon to wrap up the regular season.
