MILWAUKEE –
The Butler men's tennis team won 4-2 at Marquette on Saturday at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium in the regular season finale for the Bulldogs.

Butler won an important doubles point, with the duo of Thomas Brennan and Alvaro Huete Vadillo winning 6-4 in the top spot followed by Ryan Roegner and Zach Trimpe claiming a 7-6 decision at No. 3 doubles to clinch the point.

In singles play, the Bulldogs needed three sets for all three matches they won. Huete kept his winning streak going with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 decision over Marquette's Rami Scheetz at No. 3 singles. It was his 12th consecutive victory in singles play.

The last two spots in the lineup came through to give Butler the win. Drew Michael came back from a set down to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 singles, while Michael Karr did the same with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 decision over Will Tennison.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 12-10 regular season record, including 3-3 in BIG EAST matches. Butler will head to Cayce, S.C. for the conference tournament beginning Friday.
