@ButlerUGolf Men Will Look to Climb Leaderboard Monday at the Wright State Invitational

Butler will look to climb the leaderboard Monday and improve on their current eighth-place standing at the Wright State Invitational.
 
Sunday's play included 36 holes with the Bulldogs shooting a 300 in the morning session followed by a 308 in the afternoon round. Butler's total of 608 (+40) has the team in eighth among the 13-team field.
 
Wright State holds the lead at 575 (+7); Valparaiso is in second at 24-over 592.
 
The 54-hole event concludes Monday with a single round.
 
Raymond Sullivan and Damon Dickey lead the Bulldogs with matching scores of seven-over 149. The duo shot a two-over 73 in the morning round before carding a 76 in the afternoon. They are tied for 13th.
 
Wright State's Davis Root has the individual lead at even-par 142.
 
Daniel Tanaka is tied for 25th at 153 (+11) after rounds of 76 and 77.
 
Michael Tanaka shot rounds of 78 and 79 Sunday. His total of 157 (+15) is tied for 46th. Teammate Henry Quinn is one shot behind him and in a tie for 53rd at 158 (+16).
 
Nick Williams is tied for 69th at 164 (+22). The format for the event is each team sending six players out on the course with four scores counting.
 
The par-71, 7,075-yard Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio is the scene for the tournament.
 
Monday's round is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available via GolfStat. The event serves as the final tune-up prior to the 2022 BIG EAST Championships, which tee off Monday, April 25 in Georgia.
