Weather Cancels Final Round of Wright State Invitational; Bulldogs Finish Eighth

Weather has canceled Monday's final round of the Wright State Invitational.
 
The final leaderboard will be determined by the 36 holes that teams played Sunday on the par-71, 7,075-yard Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio.
 
The event served as the final tune-up prior to the 2022 BIG EAST Championships, which tee off Monday, April 25 in Georgia.
 
Butler finished eighth in the 13-team field with a total of 608 (+40). Sunday's play included 36 holes with the Bulldogs shooting a 300 in the morning session followed by a 308 in the afternoon round.
 
Host Wright State won the event at 575 (+7); Valparaiso finished second at 24-over 592.
 
Raymond Sullivan and Damon Dickey led the Bulldogs with matching scores of seven-over 149. The duo shot a two-over 73 in the morning round Sunday before carding a 76 in the afternoon. They tied for 13th.
 
Wright State's Davis Root won the event at even-par 142.
 
Daniel Tanaka tied for 25th at 153 (+11) after rounds of 76 and 77.
 
Michael Tanaka shot rounds of 78 and 79 Sunday. His total of 157 (+15) tied for 46th. Teammate Henry Quinn was one shot behind him and tied for 53rd at 158 (+16).
 
Nick Williams tied for 69th at 164 (+22). The format for the event is each team sending six players out on the course with four scores counting.
