The Butler men's tennis team landed the No. 4 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament and will play No. 5 seed Georgetown on Friday at 12:45 p.m. in Cayce, S.C., at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 12-10 record (3-3 BIG EAST), wrapping up the schedule last week with a 4-1 win over Dayton on Wednesday and a 4-2 win at Marquette on Saturday.

Butler and Georgetown (7-11, 1-3) played a neutral site match in Youngstown, Ohio on March 19, with the Bulldogs putting up a 4-3 win. Four singles decisions clinched the victory for Butler, as Thomas Brennan in the top spot, Alvaro Huete Vadillo at No. 3, Borja Miralles at No. 5 and Patrick Joss at No. 6 singles won their matches.

The Bulldogs have won two in a row against the Hoyas, as Georgetown last won a dual match between the teams on April 27, 2018 in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament.
