@ButlerWTennis Falls to DePaul in BIG EAST Quarterfinals

The Butler women's tennis team fell 4-2 to DePaul on Friday in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs were down 2-0 early after DePaul took the doubles point and a singles match.

Natalie Boesing got on the board first for Butler with a 6-1, 6-2 straight sets win over Yuliya Kizebasheva at No. 1 singles. Katie Beavin also cruised to a 6-3, 6-1 decision over Eleanor Nobbs at No. 4 singles.

Hristina Djokic clinched the match for the Blue Demons with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 win over Veronika Bruetting in the sixth spot of the lineup. Butler's Delaney Schurhamer was leading 7-6(5), 3-2 at No. 2 singles when the team result was decided.

The Bulldogs end the season with an 8-14 record (1-3 against BIG EAST opponents).
